Lisa Richards Diebel is the Senior Vice President of Human Capital at UnitedHealth Group. In this role she partners with leaders of the Chief Executive Office on their human capital strategies and leads the Human Capital M&A center of excellence.

Lisa has a special passion for social impact, equity, diversity and inclusion and helped reignite UnitedHealth Group’s focus on these priorities. Lisa serves on Optum’s Culture, Inclusion and Diversity Council, is executive sponsor for UnitedHealth Group’s ERG for working parents and was previously a sponsor of the women in leadership ERG. Externally Lisa is a part of the World 50 Inclusion & Diversity Impact Community and serves on the board of the Women’s Health Leadership TRUST.
Lisa has over twenty years of experience leading large-scale transformation programs involving people, processes and tools and creating lasting organizational change. Prior to joining Optum in 2011, Lisa spent most of her career in Financial Services leading people-related strategies, outsourcing/workforce initiatives, reengineering programs, and in IT leadership roles.
Lisa has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Olaf College and a Master’s degree in HR/Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. Lisa resides in Minnesota.
