What current volunteer opportunities are available?
Sponsorship Committee
Are you someone with good communication skills who likes to network, build connections and is passionate about the TRUST? Do consider yourself proactive, like to rally support for a cause and have fundraising experience? If so, check out the TRUST sponsorship committee. This group is responsible for securing sponsorships that enable the TRUST to offer a variety of programs dedicated to supporting the overall mission and vision of the association. With leadership opportunities available, this is an opportunity for you to shine and deeper your connections not only with the TRUST, but with the many organizations in our community.
What to expect: Members are responsible for connecting with current and prospective corporate supporters of the TRUST through networking, email and phone to retain, strengthen and grow corporate connections. Members can expect to commit an average of 10 hours a month to build corporate support of the TRUST.
Meeting schedule: This committee meets bi-weekly on Wednesday afternoons.
Programming Committee
Do you enjoy planning fun and engaging events? Do you like to think outside of the box? If so, our programming committee might be a great fit for you! The TRUST programming committee is responsible for creating diverse programming options for members. (Check out these upcoming events to get an idea on some of the great work this group has set in place.) This committee is seeking individuals with strong communication and organizational skills who are excited for the opportunity to take lead on one or more events over the course of the year.
What to expect: In addition to a monthly meeting, members are asked to contribute to 1-2 events throughout the year, with full support of the Programming team. When a committee member is organizing a program, she can expect to contribute an additional 5-6 hours depending on the event she is helping to organize.
Meeting schedule: This committee meets monthly on the first Thursday morning of the month.
Forum Committee
Are you someone who enjoys planning larger special events while building relationships? The Forum Committee is currently seeking individuals to help support the TRUST’s cornerstone event—the annual TRUST Forum. This event gathers hundreds from throughout the region for a time of celebration, inspiration and empowerment celebrating local women leaders making a difference in the community as well as offering an exciting keynote address. The 2021 event will be held virtually in September.
The committee is currently seeking individuals with strengths in marketing, communications and general event management. Specific opportunities around script writing, video management, promotional material and awardee recognition are available.
What to expect: Members can expect to commit an average of eight hours a month.
Meeting schedule: This group meets every two weeks leading up to the event on Tuesday morning at 7:00 am, shifting to weekly meetings six weeks in advance of the Forum.
