Laura Weiglein

As Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives at HealthPartners, Laura Weiglein leads strategy development and project management for the health plan’s Health and Care Engagement division, which includes care management, utilization management, health and well-being, worksite health, quality improvement, medical coverage policy and credentialing. Laura’s been at HealthPartners for nearly 10 years serving in a variety of program management, project management, and product development. Prior to coming to HealthPartners, Laura spent 8 years as a civil servant managing health promotion and recreation programs for the Department of Defense. Laura joined the TRUST in 2018 shortly after moving into her leadership role and attributes much of her success to the learnings and relationships she’s gained through in this group. She has participated in TRUST’s Mentorship Program (2020) and actively participates in the Strategic Growth and Marketing Committee.

Laura is married to her high-school sweetheart, Tad, and mom to William (7) and Anna (4). She earned bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in Kinesiology (Exercise Physiology) from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. In her free time, Laura’s an endurance runner and women’s running coach.
