Kate Shaughnessy, MHA, PMP

Kate is a forward-thinking healthcare leader specializing in population health transformation, program and project management, ambulatory operations optimization, and global public health. Passionate about advancing the Quadruple-Aim and promoting health equity, Kate is committed to driving sustainable, community-centered healthcare improvements.

She holds a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) with a Global Public Health minor from the University of Minnesota, School of Public Health, along with certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Prosci Certified Change Practitioner. Kate combines strategic leadership with operational excellence to drive innovative, high-impact solutions that enhance care delivery and community wellness.

In her role as a Population Health Advisor at Hennepin Healthcare, Kate leads enterprise and local transformation initiatives within a safety-net health system. She facilitates and guides organizational changes that improve care delivery, enhance contract performance, and promote health equity. Known for her ability to co-create innovative models of care, Kate drives improvements across the care continuum while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture. Outside of work, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, exploring local trails, running, skiing, reading, and traveling. She is an advocate for both personal and professional growth and finds joy in building connections that inspire change.
