
Karen Larson is a transformative health care senior leader known for shaping teams to become cooperative problem-solvers, creating efficiency and growth in operations while improving employee engagement. She is a passionate connector of people and ideas, fiercely advocating for the knowledge her clinicians and team members hold through their lived experiences. Karen is recognized for her skill in navigating complex organizational dynamics to swiftly align strategic decision-making, executing plans with clarity, care and collaboration.
In her current role as Director of Operations with Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology, Karen heads operations and leads the design and execution of strategic initiatives. She has accountability for five clinic locations along with all service lines – Infusion, Neurodiagnostics (MRI, EEG, and EMG), and Rehab (PT and OT). Karen also oversees patient experience, clinical quality, safety, project management, medical records, and facilities management for the organization. She joined Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology in April 2024 after holding roles at M Health Fairview and Allina Health in consumer experience strategy, clinic management, and laboratory supervision.
Karen has been a member of the Women’s Health Leadership TRUST for three years. She joined the Associate Board in July 2025 and currently serves as Chair for the Wellbeing Retreat Committee. Karen is also an active member of Healthcare Leaders Association of Minnesota and serves as a mentor to students at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.
Karen earned her Masters of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota and holds her Bachelors in Medical Laboratory Science from Michigan State University. She maintains her certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist through the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
