Stacy Rogers, Vice President of LeadingAge MN Solutions, LeadingAge MN

What is your current role?

I’ve been in the role for a little over one year. I am responsible for the growth of our group purchasing organization (GPO). Our GPO is unique since the revenue generated supports advocacy, education and events through the nonprofit parent – LeadingAge MN. Through due diligence, I connect with vendors and bring select companies to my Board of Directors to decide if they are a good fit for our membership. I am constantly reaching out to members in person, via email or Zoom to learn about their communities and offer our support

Why did you join the TRUST?

I joined the TRUST in 2022. A valued friend and co-worker gave me the opportunity to join the TRUST while I was working at Lifespark. I am currently a member of the Fundraising Committee.

What has been your favorite part of being a TRUST member?

Meeting people is the best part of my job and this Women’s Health Leadership TRUST membership. I love to meet people, hear their stories and learn new things.

What one word would you use to summarize what the TRUST means to you?

Connections.

What is the best career advice you’ve received or the best mentoring experience you’ve had?

I worked for an amazing woman for 10 years while I was at Medica. She encouraged me to trust myself and recognize my value in all interactions.

How do you support other women in their leadership journeys?

I have been a leader of several teams and helping other people grow in their careers is an amazing opportunity. People really are the most important part of the journey. I think listening is key when working with staff. Hearing what makes them tick and makes them feel valued.

What do you love the most about the health care industry?

What can be good and bad at the same time is how connected this industry can be. You may run into someone you haven’t seen in 10 years at an event or even a job interview!

How do you maintain or improve your health and well-being?

I love to exercise in the morning when I have the most energy. It makes the day so much better and helps to reduce stress.

Words of wisdom to live by?

You can’t control every situation, but you do have the power of your response and how you choose to show up.
