Forum Committee
Help support the TRUST’s signature event—the annual TRUST Forum. This event gathers more than 500 health care professionals from throughout the region for inspiration and empowerment. At the Forum, we celebrate local women leaders making a difference in the community and offer exciting speakers. The Forum is typically held annually in April.
Seeking: Individuals with strengths in general event management, marketing, communications, promotional materials, script writing, video management and awardee recognition.
What to expect: Members can expect to commit an average of eight hours a month in the months leading up to the event with more hours in the month prior to the Forum. Meeting times vary each year.
IDEA Committee
The IDEA committee exists to provide leadership throughout the TRUST on inclusion, diversity, equity and access. Committee members plan events, create organization-wide resources, and consult with other committees. As a committee member, you’ll help shape our organization to continue to advance our culture.
Seeking: Individuals with a passion for investing in inclusion, diversity, equity and access.
What to expect: Committee members can expect to commit an average of 2-4 hours a month. A one-hour IDEA committee meeting monthly and additional time commitment based on other committee meeting requirements. Meeting times vary each year.
Leadership Development Committee
The Leadership Development Committee designs and delivers TRUST’s signature Mentorship Program, matching women leaders with mentees seeking targeted coaching, connection, and professional growth. Committee members plan and execute structured programming throughout the year, support participant communications, measure program impact, and contribute to advancing TRUST’s broader leadership development goals.
As a committee member, you will help shape meaningful mentor–mentee experiences, plan key program events, support emerging leaders, and advance TRUST’s mission of empowering women in healthcare leadership.
Seeking: Individuals who are passionate about investing in the growth of others. This committee is ideal for those who value connection, advocacy, and thoughtful program development.
What to Expect: Committee members commit an average of 2–4 hours per month, including a one-hour monthly meeting. Meeting times vary each year.
Membership & Marketing Committee
This committee is responsible for membership retention and growth, marketing strategies, communication efforts, and data insights for the TRUST. Our goal is to enhance the experience of our members and ensure effective communication and outreach efforts.
Seeking: Enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about improving the TRUST membership experience. If you have an interest in member experience, marketing, communications, or data analytics, and are eager to contribute to our mission, we would love to have you on board.
What to expect: As a committee member, you can expect to dedicate an average of 2-4 hours per month to committee activities. This includes attending a one-hour monthly meeting, where we discuss ongoing projects, strategies, and upcoming initiatives. Additionally, there may be ad hoc tasks assigned as needed to support our goals.
Programming Committee
Our Programming Committee is a great fit for those who enjoy planning fun and engaging events while thinking outside the box! This committee is responsible for creating diverse programming options for members. Check out our event calendar to get an idea of the great work this group does.
Seeking: Individuals with strong communication and organizational skills who are excited to take the lead on one or more events over the course of the year.
What to expect: In addition to a monthly one-hour meeting, committee members are asked to contribute to 1-2 events during the year, with full support from the Programming team. When a committee member is organizing a program, she can expect to contribute 5-6 hours for each event depending on the event format. Meeting times vary each year.
Retreat Committee
The Retreat Committee is responsible designs and delivers an annual 1.5 day immersive experience that helps women in health care lead, learn, connect and thrive. By curating thoughtful sessions, restorative activities and practical tools, the committee advances the TRUST mission to advocate, inspire and offer insights to women leaders while strengthening community, belonging and resilience across our membership.
Seeking: Volunteers who are energized by planning meaningful programming and collaborating across the TRUST. Teammates bring strengths in one or more of the following:
- Program design and speaker curation (leadership development, well-being content)
- Event logistics (run-of-show, venue coordination, vendor management)
- Marketing and communications (copywriting, social, email, design)
- Sponsorship and partnerships (outreach, relationship building, collaboration)
- Budget and operations (planning, forecasting, tracking, reconciliation)
This committee is ideal for members who want to expand skills, deepen relationships and extend their influence by contributing to a flagship TRUST experience consistent with the volunteer benefits highlighted across TRUST committees.
What to expect: Committee members meet biweekly virtually (with additional touchpoints approaching the retreat) and can expect to commit ~4-6 hours per month during early planning of the event and increasing to ~10-12 hours in the months prior to the event. You’ll build your skill base, hone your leadership capabilities and grow your network in a supportive, mission-aligned environment.
Sponsorship Committee
The Sponsorship Committee is responsible for securing sponsorships that enable the TRUST to offer a variety of programs dedicated to supporting the overall mission and vision of the association. With leadership opportunities available, this is an opportunity for you to shine and deepen your connections not only with the TRUST but with the many organizations in our community. Committee members connect with current and prospective corporate supporters of the TRUST through networking, email and phone to retain, strengthen and grow corporate connections.
Seeking: Members with good communication skills who like to build connections and are passionate about the TRUST. This committee is ideal for those who are proactive and enjoy rallying support for a cause and have fundraising experience.
What to expect: Committee members can expect to commit an average of 2-4 hours a month. A one-hour meeting is held each month. Meeting times vary each year.
