About our speaker

Caroline Njau
Senior Vice President of Patient Care and Chief Nursing Officer

Caroline Njau, MBA, BSN, RN, NEA-BC, provides strategic direction and leadership for nursing at Children’s Minnesota, as well as patient care services. Caroline was born in Kenya and moved to the US at a young age. Growing up in an environment where she witnessed first-hand the impact of lack of healthcare to families and communities is what inspired her to pursue a career in healthcare. Before joining Children’s Minnesota, Caroline was the director of hospital and nursing operations at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital where she also co-led the Health Equity Initiative since 2017. She began her nursing career in Medical-Telemetry units at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
