Does the Women’s Health Leadership TRUST have a Board of Directors?
Yes, the TRUST has a board of directors that sets the vision and strategy for the organization.
Who decides which candidates are invited to serve on the TRUST Board of Directors?
The current TRUST Board of Directors invites new members to join the board annually following a nomination and vetting process led by the Governance Committee.
Board terms are three years, beginning each January, and directors may serve up to two consecutive terms.
How do I let the TRUST know if I am interested in joining the Women’s Health Leadership TRUST Board, Associate Board, or a committee?
Reach out to a board member and/or committee chair or contact [email protected]. While we know not everyone who wants to serve on a committee is interested in board service, we highly recommend committee service/leadership if you wish to be considered for a Board role. Serving on a committee is a great way to take advantage of what the TRUST has to offer, learn more about our organization, and grow your network of amazing women in health care.

What is the TRUST’s Associate Board?
The Associate Board is a committee that provides emerging leaders with an entry point into nonprofit leadership designed to help members gain practical skills and insight into how a board functions.
The Associate Board is intended as a leadership development opportunity, and it is not structured as a direct pathway to the Board of Directors.
How does the TRUST select Associate Board members?
The Associate Board accepts applications from TRUST members annually for those interested.
The selection process includes a short interview with a current Associate Board member.
Associate Board members serve two-year terms, beginning in January or July.
