When and why did you join the Women’s Health Leadership TRUST?

I joined the TRUST seven years ago, although I attended the TRUST Forum for several years before officially joining. The energy I experienced by attending the Forum was so inspiring and I wanted to surround myself with these amazing women and leaders in health care.

What role(s) do you currently hold with the Women’s Health Leadership TRUST?

I currently serve on the TRUST Board as Treasurer and also serve on the Forum committee.

Do you have a favorite TRUST memory so far?

I cannot choose just one favorite memory, as there have been so many. The speakers and leaders I’ve had the privilege to listen to always leave me inspired, energized and empowered.

What is the best career advice you’ve received?

The best career advice I have received is from my father: always have a firm handshake, always look a person directly in the eye and never assume anything.

How do you cope with demanding aspects of your career?

Outside of spending time with family and friends, taking walks or sitting down with a good book can bring me back to center.

Who or what inspires you?

My children inspire me each and every day. As young adults starting off in their own careers, they continue to amaze me with their passion for giving back, making a difference in their communities and being strong advocates for those that might not have as strong of a voice.

Any words of wisdom to live by?
