A Heartfelt Farewell and a Look to the Future

By Lisa Saul, MD, TRUST President

As I wrap up my year as President of the Women’s Health Leadership TRUST, I’m filled with gratitude for what we’ve achieved and excitement for what lies ahead. Reflecting on 2024, I’m inspired by the milestones we reached together. From impactful networking events to thought-provoking panels, our community has proven to be a vibrant space where women in health care can find support and build their paths to success. It’s been a true honor to be part of these moments, and I’m grateful for every conversation, connection and collaboration that defined the TRUST’s 45th year.

Every time I see our community come together, not just at our signature events such as the TRUST Forum but at smaller gatherings and mentorship events, I’m reminded of the profound power of connection. We’ve brought hundreds of women together across health care sectors, united by a shared mission to elevate one another and drive meaningful change in our field. I firmly believe the TRUST’s greatest strength is its people. Our members consistently bring incredible energy, expertise and empathy to everything they do.

In the spirit of appreciation, I want to give a heartfelt thank you to our incredible Board, Associate Board and committee volunteers. Your dedication, time and talents have laid the foundation for the TRUST’s future growth and impact. Thank you for your service and the legacy you leave behind.

I’m equally grateful to our generous sponsors whose support makes our mission possible, and to the inspiring speakers who brought uplifting energy and challenged us to innovate and lead with courage.

To all TRUST members who have joined this collaborative force of women: thank you for sharing your insights and contributing to a community grounded in trust and mutual support. And to the Charter Members who launched this vision 45 years ago, your courageous spirit paved the way for so many women leaders in health care today. We are all immensely grateful to you.

Finally, I am thrilled to pass the baton to Joy King, our incoming President for 2025. Joy brings a wealth of experience and passion to this role and I have no doubt she will lead with the same dedication and heart that defines the TRUST. Under her leadership, I’m confident our organization will reach new heights and foster even deeper connections.

Thank you to everyone who made 2024 a remarkable journey. I look forward to continuing to support the TRUST, its members and watching our community flourish for years to come.
