Empowering Women in Health Care Leadership

By Lisa Saul, MD, TRUST President

In an era where the dynamics of health care are evolving rapidly, the influence of women leaders in shaping the future of our industry cannot be overstated. The Women’s Health Leadership TRUST Forum on April 11 is poised to spotlight this transformative power as we celebrate the TRUST’s 45th anniversary this year.

Women have long contributed to health care, navigating complex challenges with grace and innovation to significantly impact the overall health care landscape. The TRUST Forum, our signature annual gathering, is a testament to these contributions, offering a platform for learning and inspiration as we celebrate the talented women in our field. Our community is doing incredible work, and we will honor standout leaders in four categories with our TRUST Awards in addition to our Mentor of the Year and Pinnacle Leader.

This year’s TRUST Forum features an executive keynote panel featuring a distinguished lineup of leaders at the forefront of change and innovation. Shelley Carthen Watson, President and CEO of YWCA Minneapolis; Andrea Walsh, President and CEO of HealthPartners; and Margaret-Mary Wilson, MD, Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of UnitedHealth Group, will share their perspectives on vital topics that resonate with our community of women leaders. The discussions among this panel are sure to be timely and enriching. Stories and experiences shared by the panelists will also underscore the importance of diversity of background and ideas in health care leadership.

Emceeing the Forum and moderating this engaging panel will be Roxane Battle, an accomplished author, former news anchor and mental health expert. Roxane’s expertise and insights will undoubtedly elevate the conversation and her role is fitting as she embodies the leadership qualities and vision the TRUST Forum seeks to highlight.

Beyond our keynote panel, the TRUST Forum is an unparalleled opportunity for networking in health care. Our event brings together women from various facets of the industry, from executives and professionals to entrepreneurs and advocates. This diversity of experience and perspective enriches the dialogue, fostering a unique environment for growth and collaboration. Attendees can expect to leave with not only enhanced knowledge and insights but also meaningful connections that support their professional journeys.

As we look forward to the insights and inspirations that will emerge from the TRUST Forum, let’s remember the enduring impact of women’s leadership in health care as we drive positive change toward healthier communities. I’m excited about what we have planned and look forward to seeing you at the TRUST Forum on April 11! Registration is available for tables and single tickets.
