By Chris Bent, TRUST President
Over the years, the Women’s Health Leadership TRUST has spoken a great deal about leading authentically from one’s True North. We talk about it a lot because it is vitally important. When you know your values and sources of satisfaction in your life, your leadership can be authentic and bold.
Our goal is to continually support TRUST members in growing into the most confident and transformative leaders they can be. One way we do this is through extraordinary programming.
We are proud to have Jean Machert, HealthCare Executive, as our Keynote Speaker for the TRUST Annual Meeting on December 9. Jean will discuss Leading Your Career to Your North Star by expanding your vision and approach to accelerate your career with a bold trajectory. She will share a career framework as a guide, followed by a fireside chat to answer questions.
Jean was most recently Vice President of Digital and AI and Operations at UnitedHealth Group. She is known for leading growth initiatives, developing truly innovative experiences and inspiring others to think differently about what is possible.
I can’t wait to hear from Jean, and I know there will be tremendous takeaways from her discussion for those seeking to accelerate their careers or reinvigorate their professional work.
As a reminder, career journeys look different for everyone. One person may aspire to become CEO of a Fortune 500 company, while another person wants to start a small business. Others may be interested in lateral moves but want to gain more experience in new areas. The multitude of career paths is one reason why it’s so important to know what fuels your passion and provides joy. Life is too short to do work you don’t find fulfilling.
I hope you’ll look inward to identify or expand your vision, discover your voice and find your True North/North Star. When you do, you’ll have an authentic framework and built-in internal compass to guide your decision-making as a strong, courageous leader.
